About

Education:

I have graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a minor in Cinema Television/Cinematic Arts. During my attendance at UCS,  I had the privilege to experience what the Trojan Family represents and the several benefits it offers. USC has a strong sense of community where the establishment upholds a vigorous sense of ethical standards and integrity, whether in academia or personal expression. It gives me great pride and honor to be associated with such an organization. In the duration of my studies, I had the opportunity to participate in several organizations, such as university theatre productions, theatre fundraising for disabled children, and assist public speaking seminars with guest speakers at social events. Both fields, USC School of Theatre and Cinematic Arts, has fully enriched my knowledge and skillsets in broadening my creativity and professional confidence. The overall ties, in conjunction to my education and work philosophy, comes from creating an environment where theory and the pursuit of creative applications are in constant interaction. I thank USC for allowing me to build on these foundations and to “Fight On!”

Work Experience:

For over five years,  I have been employed and affiliated with Burberry on Rodeo Drive. Within these years, I have been promoted twice and currently upholding an assistant managerial role specializing in the men’s department.

In my last position, as Tailoring Specialist, I was responsible for developing the staff to increase revenue (driven from the tailoring department) by initiating in-depth training/presentations and clientele development. By intricately developing and working with my sales team, the department has sustained sales gains between twenty-five and forty percent, consistently.

Since the promotion and expansion of my current role,  I am entitled to execute my responsibilities based on exemplary understandings of brand-on property positioning, retail business development, and attainment of exceptional sales metrics. I travel to annual conferences in New York to collaborate with corporate management on refining marketing intelligence strategy, new product development, and life cycle management. I also supervise an immediate sales team of five and conduct bi-weekly meetings/presentations with a team of thirty. In doing so, I develop a variety of sales training approaches that motivate and inspires the team towards optimal performance, which presides over high-performance outcomes. By providing updates on industry/competitor trends, mentor exemplary sales techniques and behaviors that cultivate high quality customer engagement, my department continues to be enthralled by both revenue and team morale.

In collaboration with my staff, I also cultivate exceptional client rapport to capture consumer behaviors and trends. Once a cultivation of rapport is being established, I leverage data to sustain a strong client following and generate qualitative metrics for future analysis and planning. In addition to such strategies, I collaborate with management to develop client promotional campaigns that employ a variety of online, social media, and live tactics. The passion and enthusiasm being evoked is vital in reflection to the brand that translates from staff to consumers.

In the course of my employment at Henri Bendel, my greatest conquest was to excel and exceed expectations in terms of client rapport and brand revenue. I was promoted to Clientele Specialist within two months based on exceptional sales performance, the ability to rapidly build client trust and to effectively represent the brand. I earned top sales distinctions and won sales highest value transactions contests. Due to my position, my utmost priority was to elevate the stores revenue by cultivating a loyal client following. This was based on the comprehension of client demographics and the ability to present the brand in a manner that catered to client preferences.

Other elements I learned, in order to elevate store standards, was the culture of collaborating with business intelligence teams and management to optimize product placements. This played a strong role for me in learning how to further utilize such resources in developing stronger client rapport and profits. All these tasks played an intricate role in helping me focus on needs-based marketing segmentation that would capitalize on consumer interest, both now and years to come.

For about half of a year, I had the pleasure to travel cross country (USA) with Disney on Ice: Worlds of Fantasy. While I was on tour for Feld Entertainment, I had the duties to sell and promote Disney branded products at live events.  I rapidly assessed and informally documented consumer purchasing trends, impulse buying behaviors, and competitor merchandise layouts. These documentations would assist to determine optimal sales strategies at each locale. Due to the fact of changing demographics, I had to be extremely strategic in capitalizing every location/opportunity; especially since the majority of the shows revenue was generated from consumer goods at these attended venues. I also took liberty in prioritizing inventory replenishment shipments based on the top selling categories across various regions. I sustained a steady in-flow of reliable income in a 100% commission-based position. This job definitely challenged my perseverance and fortitude to maximize my proceeds and abilities. Although my time with the company was somewhat short, I truly enjoyed the excitement of travel, assessing strategies in an expeditious/proficient manner, and the fun creative magic that a Disney spectacle conveys.

While I was employed with Guess (for over a year and a half), the fundamentals and operations of running a business became more prominent. I bolstered inventory marketability by capturing clients’ consumer interest and purchasing data that was applicable to relative demographics. I also proactively replenished in-demand stock and incorporated product subcategories to customers’ choices to maximize profit/consumer satisfaction. Due to my eagerness to learn and transcend in the business, I was frequently requested by management to actively assist with store planning/budgeting and retail layouts in accordance with the visual managers’ guide and policy. During my time with this company, I was awarded Employee of the Month and other top performance distinctions consistently, which correlated to meeting and exceeding store goals and profit margins.

While I was obtaining my education at USC, I decided to expand myself in the working realm.  At Armani Exchange (in Santa Monica, CA), I rapidly observed the diverse preferences and behaviors of a large tourist clientele. From this, I was able to assess broader adapted styles and sales approach to optimally engage each unique customer in an authentic manner.  I took great pride in my workplace and employed strong work ethics that attributed to raising profits ten percent and decreased shrinkage from 1.7% to 1.5% (through exemplary customer service and thorough product knowledge). I also exceeded averages on all Growth and Development Reviews. From my passion to succeed in my work environment, I was consistently sought out by management for advice of floor-set arrangements and small related marketing strategies that resulted in higher levels of store performance.
